MAY TRAVEL ADVENTURES 1: BAGUIO IN TWO DAYS

Few dedicated professionals stayed in a company because of their desire to excel in every project or task assigned to them. It's their passion in doing what they love that made them stay to render their "services."

Lucky bastards and bitches, meanwhile, held on to their positions because of the left and right freebies that they get from their employers.

For the average workers, it's the company of their colleagues that make their loads lighter because you know you have a bunch of people behind your back  (and who are willing to cover up for you) who would say, dude we're on the same boat.

And there are the "blessed employees" who are a combination of the first three descriptions.

I wish I am one of them.

I have yet to find my "perfect job." Being in the workforce for almost three years now, I hopped from one job to another in hopes of finally finding my place in this arena.I don't know if I'll get it right this time, but I won't stop searching and hoping until I reach my nirvana. I will continue my job hopping spree if that's the only way for me to finally realize this is where I belong...this is where I will excel... this is where I will realize the real essence of a career... this is where I will spend the rest of my life as an employee.

My career as a teacher ended too quickly and to be honest, I no longer intend to teach...as of now. Who knows what the future holds, right? But as of the moment, after my four-month teaching experience I know that it is something that I have to set aside, if not leave behind for good.

I am just really hoping soooo badly that things will finally workout for me. *crossed fingers*

Okay, enough of the drama. The reason for this entry, supposedly, is about my super delayed Baguio entry with the SPCP staff and maintenance but for some reason, I ended up putting into words those random/emo thoughts of mine above. Hmmmm, maybe because I know that at some point, I'll get to miss few people who became my friends for a very very short time.

I was never the friendly type of person. Not because I am a loner by nature but because I am too shy to talk to people because I get intimidated with their presence. Or sometimes, it's just the simple I-don't-like-you-I-prefer-to-be-alone-instead attitude that I'm entertaining.

The day I learned that the employees will have their summer outing in Baguio is one of my saddest days char haha!I don't know any of them aside from my department-mate and the rest are all aliens to me. I even considered backing out of the trip and instead go out-of-town with friends but for some reasons, I still ended up squeezing my stuffs inside a backpack.

I arrived in school at 9pm, almost an hour ahead of the scheduled departure. And my nightmare came---I don't know anyone so I decided to place my bag in one of the seats at the back of the bus and waited outside. Fastforward, two office staff sat near me and started talking to me. I instantly became comfortable with their presence especially after learning that one of them is a fellow Thomasian hehe! To cut the long story short, I ended up also talking and making kulit hehe.

I've been to Baguio a couple of times, the last time I went there was in 2007 I think. The city's pretty much the same only this time, there are more people "cooling" themselves on the scorching heat on the Month of May. Our first stop was at the Manaog Church. The original plan was to hear mass but since we arrived at 3am we decided to just offer candles and prayers.

We arrived at the Summer Capital of the Philippines at around 7am and headed to the Burnham Park where we will have our breakfast before our "city tour." The moment I stepped out of the bus, I can feel the cold breeze this city is famous for!Yahooo, time for some cooling :) Anyway, we ended up eating in one of the carinderias and had tapsilog for breakfast.

First stop: PMA.  The first and last time I went here was way back in 2003 when we had our retreat/field trip in Baguio. I get to appreciate the place more during my recent trip since I saw PMA's other side...and cadets jogging around. No cutie, though haha!

A trip to Baguio wouldn't be complete without visiting the Botanical Garden. The place improved compared to my last visit or maybe it is because the flowers were in full bloom last May. Anyway, there's also a new mini-garden/cave/buddha trail there, so yeah that one was new.

Grabbed our one hour lunch break at SM City Baguio before proceeding to the Good Shepherd and Mines View Park for some sight-seeing and pasalubong shopping. By 3pm, we're all dead tired and decided to return to the bus to rest and prepare for our trip to Pico where we'll be spending the night.

It took us more or less an hour to finally reach Pico since it is outside Baguio already  but the place is actually cooler. The bus stopped at the side of the road and from there, we carried our bags and prepare for a five-minute trek. It was a difficult climb considering the place is to steep plus my backpack is quite heavy. Super haggardness yet I feel "accomplished" when I saw the Mount Saint Paul Retreat House marker. Yehesss! My room mate was still my seatmate, Maan and we wasted no time plunging on the bed. I almost dozed off instantly but for some strange reasons, I managed to stay awake until 10pm. I keep on complaining that it's hot in our room since it's not well ventilated but I am too thankful that we were assigned in that room since we heard others complaining that they've been bugged by insects during the night. Yay!

I can say that I had a good sleep that night since I only woke up once---at 12 AM and hurriedly shut my eyes fearing that I'll see a white lady or a headless body walking in the corridor or standing inside our room yay! We got up at past six in the morning as we prepare to leave. While waiting for our breakfast to be served, we went to Damascus Hill, just inside the retreat house, to have some photos taken. Pang portfolio namen, so to speak.

Our second day itinerary only include three places: Strawberry Farm, Burnham Park, and the Grotto. After our breakfast, we immediately left the place and went straight to the Strawberry Farm, which I think is just 15mins away from the retreat house. It was my first time to go there and I told myself that even if I'm no strawberry fan, I want to feel how it is to personally pick them haha Unfortunately since it was raining the other night, it was still muddy so I decided to just buy a kilo of strawberries (even if I'm not sure who will eat them haha).

Due to some unfortunate incidents, BIG thanks to the trusty bus, the plan of going to the Grotto was scrapped. Instead we headed to the Baguio Cathedral to attend mass before leaving for Manila. The rain kept pouring. After the mass, we hurriedly grabbed a quick lunch since the bus will leave 12:30 pronto. The rain got worse as we traversed the roads which by that time already had a zero visibility. Thank God, we were safe.

As I make this entry, I can't help but somehow feel nostalgic. I didn't expect that I'd be enjoying the trip, but I did despite the hassles and it's all because of the people who stayed with me. I'll surely miss them and I'm just glad that this is one of the best memories I'll take with me as I left SPCP next month. I am just too happy to meet them.

My heart says, "Go" but my brain says, "No"

Heart skips a beat, my heart skips a beat

My heart is playing stricks on me
And it's building bricks on me
I can't break through
And I can't face you

My world is turning slowly now
But it's burning up somehow
I need some time
To know what's right

'Cause it's only in the quiet that I feel some relief
I'm trying hard not to resist the joy
Don't listen to me I'm being paranoid
I might try hard but it's too hard to avoid

My heart skips a beat
My heart skips a beat

My heart is always first to know
And as the feeling grows
I can't deny, push those thoughts aside
My world is full of loveliness
But I focus on the stress

My heart says, "Go" but my brain says, "No"
And it's only in the quiet that I hear myself breathe

My heart skips a beat
My heart skips a beat

Oh, I know this time 'cause it's physical
My blood has stopped and I am breathless as well
But I need a minute to convince myself
'Cause it's only in the quiet that I know what to feel

Copied from MetroLyrics.com

Yeah, I am sooooo in the mood to sing this one right now until I fall asleep. Hahaha feeling teenager? Ahhhh, someone's magic  is working on me tonight. TATAG! LOL

Okay, sing with me one more time

My heart says, "Go" but my brain says, "No"
And it's only in the quiet that I hear myself breathe

My heart skips a beat
 My heart skips a beat

Ninoy.Macoy.People Power. Media's Fault?

What if Ninoy Aquino wasn't killed?
Did Ferdinand Marcos really ordered Aquino's death?
How did Aquino and Marcos ended up as archenemies?
Will Aquino succeed Marcos if he he wasn't killed?
Why do you need to watch this video clip?

I was about to sleep until a good friend told me to watch this interesting clip so I waited patiently until the video finished loading.

The verdict: Worth-watching.

Maybe the late Ferdinand Marcos was not that bad as the media "demonized" him to be and history portrayed him especially to the younger generations. I believe that minus the Martial Law Declaration, Marcos is the greatest, if not one of the best, leader the country ever has! The video simply highlighted his remarkable achievements as president and it's just sad that his political career ended that way. It's really sayang.

And referring to my last question above, I think this video is worth-watching because it gives the other side of the story (although we're not sure if all the statements mentioned are all true and based on research). We already know how the Marcos government was overthrown---through the peaceful People Power. But what I really like about this video is how it pointed out why PP became the most peaceful uprising in world history and I'd like to say that I certainly agree on the point presented on the video.

Marcos' image is that he's a dictator, greedy with power, and a bad ass. But Filipinos especially those who are already alive during his regime, can't deny the fact that he has done soooo many things for the country that his successors failed to do. I am not a Marcos supporter and I don't care if the one who created the video is a hard-core Marcos supporter but I really appreciated this clip for being brave to create such clip that would somehow help other Filipinos understand that Marcos, despite his flaws and mistakes against us, is a good leader.

Anyway, I won't discuss the issue that much. I'm no historian or political analyst to do that.

By the way, Happy 113th Philippine Independence Day to all Filipinos nationwide.

You are cordially invited to.....

" Nakikita ko sa iyong palad, magmamadre ka...ayan ang letter M."

Those were the words that Sr. Consuelo Celis, SPC (whom I met last month during the congress) told me while we were at the PS building lobby. "Sister, eto si madie and she will be joining us," she told one of the sisters who just passed by. I can't stop laughing because of her playfulness---first, she claimed that she is a palm reader and second, her persistence in recruiting me. Although her pep talk is kinda informal, I know that she is dead serious with her intention. I told her that I really had no intentions of joining their congregation and besides, I didn't hear bells inviting me to the path of vocation to which she replied that many nuns in their congregation were lawyers, accountants, and teachers who came from rich families and eventually left their earthly desires just to serve God. She even encouraged me to attend one of their meetings in order to help me decide where should I go--- married life, single-blessedness, or vocation. I can't remember exactly how we parted ways since I was overwhelmed with what's happening hahaha On my way out of the building, another sister approached me and offered me candies. So even if I'm not in the mood for a basketful of candies, I decided to get one. Success, I was able to elude them, I told myself.

Back on my table, I started working again and just as I am about to open the green wrapper of what I assume as Maxx's candy, I was surprised to see this:
Seriously?hahaha
IKR their marketing, errr... recruitment strategy was weird and funny at the same time. It never crossed my mind that their invitation will come in plastic candy wrappers. I really can't help but smile after seeing this that I dished out the idea of eating it. As of this writing, it remains unopened. Haha!

I can't forget that afternoon encounter with Sr. Consuelo that slowly, I was beginning to entertain the tiny voices playing inside my head, what if it's my destiny?what if I'm meant to be there?what if I'll find my true purpose there?

Maybe, I really have a calling. A nun attending my christening?
cmon!
I was sent to a Catholic institution during my student years. I know almost all the prayers that every Catholic should know by heart. During my grade school to high school days, we would always recite the Morning prayer aside from the novena prayer for our beloved foundress. The praying of the holy rosary is done every Tuesdays and Thursdays. First Friday masses, meanwhile, is celebrated as a devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In addition, we also have our very early class masses with the sisters, yearly recollections (tuna and ham sandwich for merienda and adobo for lunch...ALWAYS!), retreats for the graduating students, masses for the feast of our patron saints, confessions, and novena every October to the Our Lady of La Naval. During my college years, theology accompanied us until our last year as a student although I didn't feel much the above-mentioned religious activities I experienced before, well except for the prayer before and after classes and the centralized Angelus prayer which I think is a standard operating procedure in each Catholic school hehehe.

K-II graduation circa 94 with Sr. Estrella Pangan, OP
Aside from these religious activities, the nuns in black and white habit are a common sight for us---in the library, canteen, registrar's office, and outside the convent watering the plants. Of course, they're also present in every program in school to give their welcome remarks and will soon vanish into thin air even before the program ends. As a young and innocent child (wala ng kokontra kasi), me and my classmates would race and compete against each other as to who gets to make mano to the sister first. I don't know why we take so much pride before of that mano thingy but as we reached the higher levels, we would just greet and smile at them and watch little kids flocked around them, remembering those forgone days. Luckily, our sisters were nice naman. These simple childhood memories of mine are the closest encounter that I had with nuns. After almost a decade, I never thought that I'd be working and get exposed with nuns again haha!

Honestly, I'm pondering on the idea of getting inside the convent, not today nor next year or the year after that  but maybe SOMEDAY... someday when I realize that maybe I'm destined for vocation. Someday when I am finally certain that it's what I really want to do with my life. Someday...someday, when God taps me on the back and told me to leave EVERYTHING behind.  Or maybe the Creator has other plans for me like getting married and have children or be a single lady forever and ever. Whatever His plans for me---marriage, single-blessedness, or vocation, I am willing to accept my fate.

As  Mama Mary said, Thy will be done. Whatever is installed for me in the future, I completely lift it to the Almighty.

Just dropping by to say Hi!

Hibernation mode momentarily off.

Awesome  is the perfect word that would describe how the month of May turned out for me. Too bad I wasn't able to update this blog during those times and instead chose to go website hopping or do online stalking (my fave haha). I'm making myself a deal to devote one day to share about these awesome experiences I had and hopefully, I'll be successful on this goal...well, easier said than done hehe. But definitely, I need to go back to writing as soon as possible since I'll be needing this skill (ehem ehem haha) in the very very near future. Funny that I claimed that writing/blogging is one of my hobbies yet I am too lazy to type on the keyboard what I have in mind (facebook status?haha) or how my week went or the most interesting thing that happened to me recently. Yes, I am lazy and choose to lurk around, hopping from one website to another and do online stalking harhar. Although the past nights, my website hopping has a specific and very important purpose. Anyway, I just dropped by and hopefully by the time I signed-in again, I'll be able to share my May experiences. There were a handful of stories that I really want to share like my encounters with the SPC sisters encouraging me to join them, my Baguio bonding moments with my new officemates, falling in love in Calaguas Island, my first snorkeling experience in Coron, watching a concert--- which is outside of school--- for the first time (haha IKR I'm such a loser), attending a recollection once more, and receiving a good news. Those stories I'll be sharing soooooon.

Gotta go and need to catch my Zzzzzzzzzzs since I still have work tomorrow.

Nega vibes, go away

Maybe I need something miraculous or extra-ordinary thing to happen in my life....
Or maybe talk to someone who's very sensible and at the same time a very patient listener.
Hmmm, why not a reliable shock absorber?

Rants.Rants.Rants. I have too many of these the past few months. I keep on entertaining negative thoughts in my head despite my pact with myself that I would refrain from doing this so as to spare also the people whom I pester every now and then because of my petty dramas in life.

I am just sad. That's all. But more than being sad, I think I am lost. And hopefully, sooner or later, I'll find my right path.

Good night :D

I'll make you feel unpretty too

I really love Glee's last episode because it emphasizes one important thing that every individual should realize: self love.In our country where almost half of the population tried almost all the whitening products in the market just to have Snow White's complexion, booked an appointment with a surgeon to have a chiseled nose, troop to the salon every now and then to have their hair straightened, find ways to achieve Angelina Jolie's pouty lips, and would do everything to snag that body to die for (the so-called perfect 36-24-36 vital stat), this episode simply reminds us that we should accept ourselves fully. Be content with what the Creator has given you.

Easier said than done!

I won't be a hypocrite and proclaim to the world that I wholly love myself because I also have my own shares of I wish I look like this or I hope I have that moments.I really appreciate the episode because it made me realize that no other person should manipulate or control us. Do not grow your hair long just because you found out that your crush is attracted to girls with long mane. Dress according to your style and taste and not because your boyfriend thinks wearing skirts is more feminine.Scrap that diet because an envy officemate told you that you looked like a sausage in your uniform. Don't pretend to like world news just to impress your parents when in fact, you enjoy hollywood news more. We should do what we love and what we think will make US happy, productive, and better individuals. If you want to lose weight, do it for yourself and not for someone who can't appreciate your "big frame." If you decide to enroll in a cooking class, make sure that your goal is to learn and not to please your man's stomach. If you want to have a total makeover because you think you deserve it, go ahead and splurge on clothes, make-up, or whatever that you think will pamper and prettify you. Always keep in mind that the things that you should do should be according to your OWN will and not because someone asked you to do this or that.

Make the "bullies" realize that they can't knock you down.
Ignore people who have nothing good to say about you.
Do not tolerate people who make fun of the clothes or the make-up that you're wearing.
Disregard side comments that you're fat and continue devouring chocolates, ice cream, and pizza!

We should shut them out in our lives because they will only harm our ego instead of boosting it. They will just make us feel we are garbage and will continue to hurt us. Unless we stop them.

Two words: self-acceptance and self-worth.

I Told You Sooooo

While I was lying on my bed trying to take a nap in the middle of the scorching afternoon heat a while ago, I plugged the headset in my phone for some sound trippin' so that I could fall asleep faster. I admit that I haven't updated my song list in a very loooooong time. Would you believe that the last song I added was Dear John wahah So yeah, if you're reading this, feel free to suggest good songs. I will appreciate it, promise :-)

I always find myself listening to the same "most played songs" in my phone. These songs bring back memories and some people I met in the past. I have this habit of associating a song with a person kasi, that way, I can't forget them no matter how good or bad they were to me. Baet ko di ba?Hahaha!

Anyway, as I scanned my playlist, I was torn between playing Roselle Nava's Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita (yes, I have that in my playlist for my emo moments bwahaha) and Cheryl Cole's Fight For This Love which is a little bit groovy, if I may say. I ended up playing I Told You So by AI winner Carrie Underwood and Randy Travis for a couple of times. To be honest, I really have no idea who the guy was or that such song existed until a friend 's friend who later became my friend also introduced this song to me last 2009.

I downloaded the song as per his advice and immediately listened to it. After the song was finished, I texted him, I hate you. Ang sad ng song. It was. The lyrics of the song struck me!I thought it was the perfect song for the both of us since we can perfectly relate to it. Well, especially him.

How I wish I could sing that song loud and proud when the right time and the right person comes haha! For now, I'll just continue listening to it for my unexpected emo moments. By the way, I also checked the FB account of said friend and found out he's already in a relationship. Woooow, finally he has moved on!Honestly, I am happy for him because he can already sing Now I found somebody new and you would never break my heart in two again loud and proud. Way to goooo my potpot friend!

So anyway, I'll share with you the song and hopefully it won't depress you like it did to me hehe.

I told you so, oh I told you so
I told you someday you'll come crawling back and asking me to take you in
I told you so, but you had to go
Now I found somebody new and you would never break my heart in two again.

Sit Back, Relax, and See a (3D) Movie

One of the brilliant creations of technology is the invention of 3D or three-dimensional movies. According to the ever reliable and most trusted Wikipedia:

A 3-D (three-dimensional) film or S3D (stereoscopic 3D) film[1] is a motion picture that enhances the illusion of depth perception. Derived from stereoscopic photography, a regular motion picture camera system is used to record the images as seen from two perspectives (or computer-generated imagery generates the two perspectives in post-production), and special projection hardware and/or eyewear are used to provide the illusion of depth when viewing the film. 3-D films are not limited to feature film theatrical releases; television broadcasts and direct-to-video films have also incorporated similar methods, primarily for marketing purposes.

The movie that started it all... in 2009 ;p credits here
The concept of 3D in the movie industry is not new. Sorry to say, Avatar is not the first movie to be shown in 3D although it's safe to say that it pioneered the concept of bringing "it" back to the movie houses once more. Since the release and international success of Avatar, more and more movie producers and directors thought of making 3D films since it smells and spells $$$$$$ for them. FYI: the first 3D film, Power of Love, debuted on Sept. 27, 1922 at the Ambassador Hotel Theatre in LA.  The story was about a young sea captain's adventure in LA sometime in the 1840s.

As I've been saying, more and more 3D movies are being released since 2010 like Up, Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, Megamind, Toy Story 3, and Tangled. I kinda understand the "need" why these films need to be shown in 3D but the likes of  Step Up 3 and Justin Bieber's Never Say Never docufilm is something I really really really don't understand. Why oh why does it have to be in 3D?
3D movies, televisions that offer 3D as their latest feature, and laptops that are 3D-capable. It seems like, since Avatar, everything is bound to become 3D! Oh, and may I just add the attempt of a local Sunday variety "party" show that attempted to bring and give the "3D experience" to its viewers. HAHAHAHA! Seriously, boast of a 3D experience and remind the viewers to make their improvised 3D glasses. HAHAHA!

Put those glasses on and let the film start rollin' (credits)
Personally, I prefer to watch a movie in full HD than spend additional hundred pesos for a 3D movie.Aside from it's cheaper, I really find no comfort wearing those red and blue glasses while watching. In addition, I only felt dizzy all throughout the movie and removed the glasses a couple of times.Argh! Talking about discomfort over "being in." Or maybe it's just me that's experiencing it. I dunno.maybe......

So why am I posting something about this, you may ask?

Again, I see the point of movie producers and directors who want to earn $$$$$$$ that's why they keep on making and releasing 3D movies BUT PLEASE PLEASE PLEAAAAASE! Not because any movie can be turned into 3D in a snap, producers and directors have a "license" to offer viewers of a "unique" 3D experience. Hello Piranha, Step Up3, and Never Say Never! Most,if not all, 3D movies are Hollywood films. But do you know that an Asian movie is now in 3D?

YES! AN ASIAN MOVIE WILL BE RELEASED IN 3D!HOW COOL IS THAT?!?

Only, the Asian 3D movie is *drum rolls* a porn film. Hahaha! No kidding it's the truth! Still doubting?here's the link. I really don't know how to react on this film, 3D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy, when I saw it in the newspaper just today. While a part of me says that it's cool since it's the first time that a porn movie will be shown in 3D, the other half of me raises an eyebrow and says, WTF is going on?watching people having sex or having a close encounter with a male member?Shit!I'm not being a hypocrite here, it's just that why would you want to see such thing in 3D?If you'll ask me, I'd better see it myself...in person!Bwahahaha!

Now it makes me wonder, after Avatar, Superman, Harry Potter, Tangled, Step Up 3, and 3D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy, what movies will follow the 3D trend?Stay tuned...
Too happy for the "new 3D movie" huh? (credits)

Puppy love or true love?

All of us have someone who is hidden in the bottom of the heart. When we think of him, we feel ummm always feel a little pain inside but we still want to keep him. Even though I don't know where he is today, what is he doing. But he is the one who makes me know this. A little thing called LOVE.
-excerpt from the Thai movie, First Love (Crazy Little Thing Called Love)

Puppy love or true love?
It was only yesterday that I was able to see the movie after a former officemate recommended it to me last Monday. Disclaimer: I won't make a summary or criticism of the movie. I'll just share my thoughts about it. I'm not much a sucker for love stories but I believe that this topic will always have a soft spot in every girl's heart. No, everybody's hearts. We like watching drama, action, comedy, and horror movies but it's undeniable that we stop once in a while to catch a feel good movie...that we usually find in love stories that offer happy endings.

The movie is your ordinary teeny bopper film complete with these essential ingredients:
1. popular guy in school
2. an "ugly duckling" who is head-over-heels with this guy
3. mean girl in school
4.popular guy secretly likes "ugly duckling"
5. ugly duckling does everything to be noticed by popular guy
6. ugly duckling gets a makeover
7. ugly duckling turned into a beautiful swan. eventually, guys swoon over her but her heart remains loyal to popular guy
8.  popular guy's bestfriend likes beautiful swan
9. popular guy and bestfriend made a pact that they will stay away from each other's prospects
10. beautiful swan confessed her love finally to popular guy. popular guy, meanwhile, ignored her but deep inside he's happy yet hurt because he can't say his true feelings for her.
11. popular guy and beautiful swan will part ways
12...and met after a year or so.
13. the ending?

Of course it's predictable! Almost 95 percent of love stories lead to happy endings right, so this one's a give-away. In addition, it's your usual TEENY BOPPER film, hello! If fairy tales capture every little girls' imagination that *sings like Snow White here* someday, my prince will come, teeny bopper films give hope to adolescent girls that they can experience or even find their true love once they hit their puberty stage. Agree or disagree?

I won't pretend that I didn't enjoy the movie because I actually did---from start to finish. The punchlines, the cute dance movements of the female protagonist (she really looks and acts like Kim Chiu!), everything including the songs! The plot is very simple and everybody can relate to it easily, except if you haven't experienced falling in love which is impossible. Almost all of us at some point in our lives did crazy stuffs for that one person to notice, accept, and eventually love us.Those  pasimpleng sulyap (stealing a glimpse of him or her everytime you get a chance), pasimpleng papansin (making a "scandalous scene" just so you could be noticed by that person like singing or laughing in a very loud and unusual tone), and pasimpleng stalker moves (giving him or her an anonymous love letter or tracking where will he or she go next after her 9:45 class) are the "intial steps" for him or her to notice you. And when all of them fail, we have the plan B or the desperate tactics :-)

Labdublabdub: close encounter of P'shone and Nam ;p

Admit it, once in your life you did consider making love potions. Eh, still in denial?hahaha Once in your life, it did cross your mind to follow the different love rituals or superstitions that you watched on TV and claimed to be effective (I heard this once when I was young. To make your beloved fall in love with you, write his or her name on a paper, put it in a glass filled with water, and place it under your bed. During midnight, you will recite a chant and your beloved will fall in love with you.) Funny isn't it?Once in our lives we made fool of ourselves, gamble with destiny, and risk our dignity so that we would be loved back. And what do we get?

Just like many girls, I am guilty of exerting effort to look beautiful in front of that "one person" in hopes that that it would pay off. It did...only for a short time, though. And that's when I realized that I don't need him or his complements to feel that I am beautiful. I know I am beautiful. Although I'd be honest that I would, of course, love to hear his praises once in a while.

Nam's about to get her first kiss!

I am also guilty of being his online stalker checking his fb everytime I log in. I am guilty of making pacute once in a while when we're talking on the phone or see each other. I am guilty of all these things, even the love potion thingy, it did cross my mind. Worse, the pikot! Hahaha but of course, I wouldn't resort to those kind of things. I love him too much that I won't do such a thing that would ruin his future. I would tease him though that I'd love to have a child with him but I'll vanish and he will never ever see me and his child. He'd just laugh at my silly idea. I'll join him. I was 75 percent joking and 25 percent serious though haha!

Just like any movie under the same genre, the joys and pains of falling in love was also shown. And let me put emphasis on the pains of being in love since I can relate with it more, I guess haha!

Say it!Say it Nam!

It feels shit when you're being lied to. It feels shit when all the while, you thought that that person will keep his promised word, a pact that you both made with each other. It feels shit that after you've given your all, it's still not enough for him to love you just like you do. But you know what's the shit-est of them all?

It's when you're almost there...yes, the two of you...yet in the middle of everything, he chose to let go of your hand. WITHOUT TELLING YOU.

For the record, I am not that bitter about love, lovers, happy endings, and even him. In fact, even if things didn't work out as I expect it to be (ayan, assumera kasi haha), I am still thankful to him for everything---good or bad. I'm still thankful that I was given the chance to be happy, to experience love and maybe be loved in a very very short span of time. I was happy. I am still happy. And I know that someday, I will be happy.

The movie gave me an obvious lesson about love and life. There's hope that true love really exist! That someone is really meant for you. That no matter how long you've been away from each other, no matter how many relationships you had with other people, if you are really meant for each other, the world will conspire for you to be together again. Such a cliche, I know haha But love stories are supposedly cliche by nature right?Bleh;p

This is one of the cheesiest entries I made hahaha! And I blame the movie for that haha. Though once in a while, it feels good to be cheesy because I get acquainted with my romantic side. Lol
Happy endings: for real or reel?
